Cable/internet in Penn Yan (Benton, Hope: renting, house, verizon FIOS)

Hi again everyone! Right now we're putting a bid on a house in Penn Yan (specifically Benton). It's very rural and from what I can tell, there is a large Mennonite community. In fact, the next-door neighbors of the house we're putting a bid on are Mennonite.

So far, I'm not seeing any cable and internet servicers. The home we are renting in Reading Center is serviced by Haefele TV but they don't service Penn Yan. Verizon and Time Warner apparently don't either.

Anybody from that area and able to recommend a cable and internet service provider?

Or are we pretty much going to be using Dish Network?

If we're going to have to use Satellite...can you recommend good satellite tv and internet providers? I've heard the satellite internet leaves much to be desired...

You headin' out to Penn Yan or just getting multiple homes?

In Reading Center you are only a few miles south from the hillbillies I grew up with (some of them anyhow). XD

Unfortunately I don't know what company services Penn Yan. But I can ask around and update you later if possible.

Cookie...we're renting in Reading Center until we close on our home...we just put an offer in on a home in Benton (Penn Yan is the mailing address).

If you can find out, I'd be greatly appreciative...lol, we have Haefele now...they're the only ones that service Reading Center, but they don't service Penn Yan. And apparently, neither does Verizon FiOs or Time Warner.

I'm wondering if there's another provider out there...or if we're going to be using satellite. If you can find out, I'd be much appreciative. Let me know!

Alright. I got in touch with my sister and she said she believes the cable company there is called frontier/frontier wireless.
