I am recently married with a child on the way and need a place to live that is safe and a decent commute (no more than an hour) to work. I don't plan on buying just yet. So, what I am primarily looking for is a place with reasonable rent, safe, and close to NYC. Thanks.

I am willing to pay up to $2200K a month. 2 bedroom OR 1 bedroom with den would be ideal. Any dieas? Thanks.

You can easily find something in Rockland County that would suit your needs. I'm not sure what rents are like in Westchester, but if they are anythign like the prices then they are pretty astronomical. Rockland would be a very good bet for you and should be well within your commutable distance.

Yes joeymarine is right You can get a house, townhouse, condo to rent for that amount and be within the hour to the city Moderator cut: realtor soliciting Good Luck PS I am an agent here in Rockland and lived here for over 28yrs Still a good and affordable area Moved up here from the Bronx
