Default Are there any sites that you can search for the price someone paid for a home?
I have found them for NJ and PA, but I want to find one for NY..

I just want to see what people have paid for properties that I am looking at.

Try zillow.com and in Ohio you can also search in your county auditor's website
for this info. I'm not sure if that works in other states, but you could try it.

what areas are you apecifically looking? A good real estate agent should do a search for you on properties in the area that you want and what they have sold for. - also as other posters have said, keep in mind not every site is updated regularly.
