I am very frugal and need to visit Ithaca for at least 2 days and one nite before winter. I am looking for the least expensive lodgings. I am an adult single 53 yr old male with a background in Buddhism and Quakerism [George School grad].
I have no qualms about staying in a youth hostel or spartan monastery--even emergency housing if need be. I just can't see spending more than $35 for a nite's lodging. Any suggestions? Buddhist monastery? SRO? Looks like you have no hostels there. Low budget guest house? Nevertheless bedbug free required.
Your info is greatly appreciated.
It looks like most lodging is full in Ithaca now due to return of Cornell students--when does this pre-fall semester surge of visiting parents, etc., subside?
