my wife's building on Park & 51st shook up and down... she's on the 41st fl. She called me the second I felt a sway here... so it was more than nothing. They were not told to evac though.
I didn't feel a thing..neither did many people in the office..up on the 42nd floor...
but give the riff-raff employees an opportunity to shout EVACUATE and they will leave their desks...
A bit of a tremor and all this panic for nothing.
Docking their pay for the time they are not here.

So glad to see NY learned from 9/11. The smart move is to get to ground level until the cause/impact can be determined.
Shortly after the quake struck, traders in the New York Stock Exchange also felt the quake and shouted to each other, "Keep trading!" CNN's business correspondent Alison Kosik reported from the floor at 2:20 p.m. E.T.

I did tell her to Moderator cut: language removed if any aftershocks are felt regardless of whether they call for an evac. Remember one of the towers were told to return to their offices? Just can't shake that thought. Besides, I can't handle our twins by myself!!!!
