Where are the kids in Warwick NY? What are they doing?
I am moving to warwick ny with my family. I stay at home with grade school kids and my husband is a fireman and works in midtown manhattan and will be commuting daily. Several posts about warwick suggest that it is a great place for kids and families but what concerns me is people that have moved to warwick seem to not fit in and have trouble adjusting to the area coming from the tri-state. Besides the park on south street and the drive in-what do kids do and where? During the summer we have taken several rides to look at houses, but we don't see any kids any where? where is everyone? Also, alot of people who live in warwick work in the city....how brutal is the commute? Reading other posts sounds like a nightmare, yet so many people do it.....any and all info on the kids/family activities or places to go would be very helpful.....

Hello oliviaday well I will be moving to Warwick in two weeks. I also have the same questions. Well as of now I believe the park and drive in are the only things I know of myself. However I am sure as soon as the kids get into school we'll both find things for the kids to do. As for where are the kids I wonder myself. I use to go to Warwick almost every other day just to check out the neighborhoods. Always seem very quiet. I still to this point haven't seen to many kids around. I know there somewhere lol but where. My husband will also be commuting. It will be about an hour and 15 minutes to get to work. I don't know if I will be commuting at this point I don't beleive I will. I have 3 kids 19,12,and 5.My daughter will be taking a semester off from college till we settle in and the boys will be in school. It will be a huge adjustment coming from the Bronx. I believe it will be a great change. If I get more info on kids I will let you know.. GOOD LUCK..

I dont know about warwick..but from I gather its a bit more rural in nature and alot of the "mommy crowd" live more up the 87 in the monroe area..I could be wrong but that is what I hear thru some friends...its mom central near the woodbury, harriman area..
I HAVE heard though that warwick is a very lovely quaint town..its just a little out there.

Kids, What kids?
I've noticed that the kids in Warwick seem to be always doing outside stuff, hiking, biking, skiing, boarding. I think that's great, get them away from the TV and the computer. Warwick is really nice place, everyone there seems to be very nice.
