Default Lake Placid Hotels?

I am planning a trip to Lake Placid for a weekend (Friday,Saturday night) in Febuary. I have stay there before but it's been over 10 years. Just wondering if the Holiday Inn or Hilton are still nice? Any other ideas are appreciated.

P.S. Just me and my wife!

The Holiday Inn at the top of the hill is now a Crowne Plaza I believe...best views in the area.......Hilton is still there and well as the Mirror Lake Inn if you want high end. Marriott just opened a brand new Courtyard a mile outside of town also....my wife and I have lived up there part time for 6 years and downtown is still crawling with choices....probably more than you would have had ten years ago...

I recommend the Golden Arrow. Its right downtown and on Mirror Lake. Reasonable rates and a gorgeous hotel. Nice indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room and all that.
