No, I don't think it will ever go in. Support was very small for the project and the entire area is very conservative. If there is another real push for it to go in, you will see people come back out of the woodwork against it, just like in westfield. I GUARENTEE IT!

Unfortunately, rural NY State is literally under siege by the wind salesmen. I'll spare everyone the "laundry list" of towns where industrial wind installations are in the works, but you can find it at Save Western NY .

I understand, Im just saying that I don't see them coming to Chautauqua County, unless it is somehow community financed. I think that is the only way I could see anyone being for it. They have tried and the community has turned them down repeatedly.

Would you support windmills in a community that wanted windmills? I'm not sure where that would be exactly, but if some community out there was pro windmills, i wouldn't be opposed to letting them do it to themselves. As long as the environmental impacts weren't too bad of course. Either way, Im all for small scale power as others have mentioned. There are a couple on local farms around here and I wouldn't mind having one of those.
