Default Reviews for Woodbury Junction Monroe

Looks like our search keeps leading us back to Orange County, NY. I really cannot imagine living in a 50 year old house half ass renovated and patched up. Anything we find in our range in addition is in run down part of bergen county.

Having lived in Orange County, CA we find Orange County, NY nicer and newer. We want to give it a second chance.

In particular we liked the Woodbury Junction gated community. It is still growing and they are continuing to build. Any reviews on the builder, community and quality of construction will be great.

I am currently building a home in Woodbury Junction. We hopefully will be closing soon, from digging the foundation until we close it will probably be about 3.5 months for the whole house to be done. Working with the builder has been a great experience, he is fair and is really responsive to making changes to customize the houses. The quality of all the homes is excellent, they offer a lot of really great features standard...although I think some of the things they don't include is strange (for example, they give you granite counter tops standard but don't give shower doors). All in all, I've had a great experience and can't wait to move into my beautiful new house!

I know the community you are talking about but don't know anyone personally that has had a place built there yet but I think the builder my be better than most others around that have built new construction in the area in recent years. I will try tO find out more info for you.

I can't believe that people are still buying these types of houses. Hopefully more mainstream families will move there to offset Kiryas Joel. Are the developers open to negotiating prices or are those prices in the website pretty much final?

How did you figure out taxes in woodbury junction. What model did you buy. I am looking to buy but really need to know what property tax would be.

Thanks.

wow...they FINALLY broke ground...its been talked about since 2007..with no takers. I would be wary..because 5 years later...only then people have heard of them. There are so many other builders, toll brothers, local builders. I loved the concept of master planned and was waiting and waiting for them to break ground...and to be frank, when it didnt happened, I gave up. I am glad they broker ground almost 5-6 years later..but the fact that they didnt sooner or build out some phases years ago should be a clue as to the resale value will work. But the concept was nice.

I have recently visited Woodbury Junction and the sales manager told us over 80 homes have been sold in the neighborhood. I think things were slow to start 5 years ago because of the real estate bubble; when we went, there were homes being built everywhere. We were also told 90 day building time; taxes were approx. 3% of cost of home. We met with the builder- He has been building in the area for a long time; we looked at homes in Brigadoon which is another neighborhood he built. we are looking at the grisham. hope to make decision soon.
