OC-Gal is an unknown quantity at this point
Default Stewart to NYC

Stewart is about 1.5 hours from NYC by car. Always depends upon the time of day. This area, New Windsor is becoming a very popular area due to the growth of Stewart as both an airport and military base. Lots of nice housing and pricing is still reasonable.. for now! Moderator cut: realtor soliciting

Anna - It's certainly difficult to get a feel for a locale from a distance, but perhaps some of these sites will help.

recordonline.com - The Times Herald-Record, serving New York's Hudson Valley and the Catskills - The Times Herald Record is the regional newspaper. Not a geat site, but it's the only newspaper of the Orange County region.

Orange County Tourism -- Orange County Tourism office. Click on "Map of Orange County" to get a good overview of the county and region. Lots of great info here.

Hope this helps!

HI Anna

When are you planning your move to the Stewart Area?

I live in a town called Salisbury Mills which is only minutes from Stewart Airport. There are some great communities around the airport and with a quick commute.

Check out these surrounding towns online:
Blooming Grove
Chester
Goshen
Hamptonburgh
Washingtonville
Rock Tavern
Montgomery
New Windsor
Cornwall
Monroe
Harriman
Highland

It's just a beautiful area within reach of everything. Great Schools (Little Britain), lots of things to do, and places to shop. The area is hopping now.

Let me know if you need more info.
Al
