Giants Jets Rivalry Question (New York, Buffalo: home, bills, area)

I have a few questions about the Giants and Jets.

1) How is the split in the NY region?
-Are the Giant the more popular team?

2) To what extent are the Giants more popular?
-Is it the gap larger than Yankees Mets, like Rangers Isles or closer?
-Is it essentially mirror in terms of demographics/geography with Manahhten/Bronx/NY State/NJ/CT being NYG and Brocklyn/Queens/LI being Jets?
-Are most Jet fans Met and Isles?

3) What about age?
-Do the Jets simply have a younger fanbase OR is it simply their younger fans have easier access to games...not that they are the team of young NY?

4) Do you anticipate in the next few decades the Jets overtaking the Giants or is the split pretty stable and again, the younger Jet home crowd simply a misrepresentation of more seats available for younger fans?

5) Is there a rivalry between the two clubs?
-Do the Giants or Jets fans despise each other like Yankees Mets or Rangers Isles or is it much more calm and rare, if not common to have shared alligances?
-Is there an inferiority complex?

1- I'd say Giants across the board. You have Jets fans, but Giants dominate.

3- Most of the jets fans I've come across have been older

4- Don't see the Jets taking over anytime soon

The Giants and Jets don't really have much of a rivalry on the field. They rarely play one another being in different conferences, and at one time, different leagues. The Giants main nemesis is the Redskins followed by the Cowboys and Eagles.

I have this rivalry with these teams NY Jets own the Giants The jets will overtake NY and the Giants will be the NJ Giants. Jets Fans are the most loyal fans ever thru wins and losts... but they are ignorant. Sorry to say but in the NY the Fans are even spread.

I'm from Upstate New York (Watertown/Syracuse) and everybody I know is a Giants/Yankees fan. I think the Jets/Mets fanbase is mostly a Queens and LI thing.

The only football team from NY state that plays IN NYS is the Buffalo Bills!!!!! If you are from anywhere in the upstate area from central to western and are not a Bills fan, well, shame on you!

I guess its easy to have a 5-2 record when you play horrible teams like the giants. At least the bills play tough teams.

You're just a hater. The Giants have a talented roster and they've been able to turn on their defense this season. Also Shockey's not the only one carrying their running game this year. I will only cheer the Bills when they play much hated teams like NE and Dallas, but other than that...I'm not from Buffalo therefore I could care less.
