Definitely Buffalo. My aunt and uncle live out there and I go there often. We went to Italian Fest, walked Elmwood Ave. (the hip area of Buffalo on the Northside, which is the best and nicest side of the city), they have Gay Pride Fest, Taste of Buffalo, Anchor Bar (where chicken wings STARTED!), great people, great sports fans, beautiful architecture, I liked the Northside. Rochester is more dangerous than Buffalo, though they are both dangerous cities. We went to a party this Summer in Buffalo and heard 3 gunshots and sirens about 30 seconds after that. I saw 2 fires on the East side of the city, the worst part, from the highway. But as long as you stay out of the East side at night you’ll be fine. The West side can be sketchy is some parts. But, the history and architecture will amaze you. The old Buffalo Psychiatric Center, Delaware Park tudors, Delaware Ave. mansions, Frank Lloyd Wright masterpieces in the city and outside the city, the ECC City Campus in downtown, City Hall, etc.
Definitely Buffalo.
