I've been to Angelica before.. it is VERY sparse as far as people go. A lot of these tiny towns all over the southern tier are similar.

It really depends on what you do for a living and whether you like the terrain of the particular area I suppose.

Thanks for your reply. One of the attractions would be the State Parks that are so nearby. My concern would be basic living -- grocery store, etc. Do you know anything about the locals -- friendly to newcomers?

Depends on where in the Southern Tier you go I suppose. I live in Elmira and we have quite a few shopping areas between here and Horseheads. Everyone is usually pretty friendly. Elmira and the surrounding areas are all quite different. There are at least 3 Tops supermarkets in this area and 2 superwalmarts one in Horseheads and the other in Watkins Glen. If you know of what counties you'd be interested in I can give better details. Hope this helps.
