Its sad to see some of the homes/stores abandoned. The architecture is FABULOUS!!!!!!

It is so beautiful like a place out of times past. It makes me feel like I stepped back in time! WOW!

If the area was revitalized (only historically---no Mc Donalds, Walmart, Target or such) it would be so even more beautiful.

Default My hometown

How sad are your photos! I was born on a farm in Sharon Springs and it is very sad to see what the town has become. My family lived there from the early "40's to 1960. I can remember many happy occasions in that town.... My Godfather was the Mayor (Clayton Bullock) and my Parents had many friends in the town.... The Hotels were still going strong and it was the typical small town of that era. I try to get back whenever I can but it's always very depressing... The farm is gone and the town has changed... As they say you can never go home again! The houses and stores in your photos are very familiar.... That one sad stone house I believe is the Rectory to the old Trinity Church that I was Baptised in. The Church is now someones home but I can remember many a Summer Picnic at the Church. Well thanks for the Photos and a pleasant trip down memory lane.
