Hey A Very Private Person, where are those 200,000 jobs Hillary promised she would create in upstate New York? I haven't seen any of them, have you?

Also, I suggest you see a psychiatrist. The number of murders in NYC has declined from something like 2,200 a year pre-Rudy to less than 600 today. Or do you think they "downcoded" the murders to petty larceny.

Finally, New York has never been better. Went to Carnegie Hall the other night and the area is sparkling. Perhaps you prefer the good old days of hookers, 3-card Monty dealers and outright mayhem in Times Square?

This is supposed to be a thread about Hillary btw.
Someone asked what people's problem was with Guliani... and Im telling them, ask a black guy from NYC ... he was not popular with the non-white non-affluent crowd. LOL
Im not making this **** up - In general its well understood.

It wasn't a snide remark or a pot-shot at Guiliani .. The guy cracked down on everything and the cops got racial about it .. people weren't happy -- other than rich republican whites... or these fake white 'liberals' who were secretly happy to see the bums get swept out and pushed into other areas

Ask George Bush where the jobs went. His answer will be that he sent them to China, India and few other foreign nations.

Default In your opinion

Right wing, left wing, liberal, conservative;they are all the same. No one side has done more damage than the other. Everybody is guilty for the messes created.

In your opinion, she has done nothing for NY.

If you want to know where your jobs went, ask George Bush, Dickie-Boy and the rest of the bending buddies.

I'll agree that neither party has been much help to this nation or state. Each is more interested in keeping control and they equally worthless.

Clinton represents the potential for change. She represents a departure from our current circumstance and the potential for this nation to get back to a position where we watch out for one another and help one another.

Fact is, she is a master politician. She has direct access to an experienced, and like it or not; successful president. She is well educated, intelligent and has fought off the conservatives for many years. Depsite the best efforts of the conservative front, she is still a successful and viable candidate.

Most importantly, when she is elected President, she will open the doors to candidates beyond the current white, male club that has been screwing this nation all of these years. Clinton is the first female to have this potential. Her greatest contribution will be to make it possible for all women to be elected to the office of President.

Violence is as it has always been in New York City. I can lie with statistics just like the govenment does. If you would like proof I will be happy to drop you off in any of a dozen or so neighborhoods in and around New York City. Then you'll have fact to back up your "opinions".

I am in NYC everyday and see how little it has improved. You can't make a silk purse from a pig rump.

Your personal attacks aside, I would rather see New York City have some character again. Times Square is become a Disney annex and the whole of Manhattan is now little more than a premium, upscale, shopping experience.

You can't fart in NYC without someone spying on you. There are cameras everywhere and just for good measure the local ghestapo is very good about exercising their "control" every chance they get.

NYC is a drain on the entire region. It is a festering pit of noise, filth, stench and upscale types. The best thing that can be done is to burn it to the ground and start over fresh. Given the masterful foreign policy of the bush administration, who knows, maybe the "terrorists" will provide us that chance.

You are still providing rhetoric. I want some examples of what she has done for this state. You are giving us vague comments that could apply to anybody. Of course anybody has the potential for change. Does not mean it is realistic though.

Same as every other successful politician. A politician is supposed to act on the will of the people. What are you complaining about?

Would you rather she say one thing and stick to it forever, never adapting to changes in the world?

You content that she hasn't lived up to her word. What is it you thing she hasn't done?

She brings money to New York. She has gotten NY back on the national stage and now she will provide New York the honor of having produced another President.

If you feel the need to argue, start with facts. That's how debate works.

Brings money to NY? The state is facing billions of dollars in deficit. Bringing NY to the national stage by having her elected president? First of all that won't do anything for NY. Secondly we are still in the primaries, not even close to the presidential election.
NY still has high taxes. NY still has people leaving. NY still has businesses leaving. NY still spends out of control in medicaid and education. These are some of the top issues the state is facing and Clinton has not done anything to address these except empty promises.
And don't play the blame game with your biased opinions. A successful leader produces results no matter what.
