Allegany State Park, in Cattaraugus County, is 65,000 acres. It's second largest to the Adirondak Park overall, and the largest of the "typical" state parks. ASP
Montezuma Refuge is 7,000 acres ... definitely not the largest, but a pretty unique place in the state
Letchworth state park is a little over double that size and an incredible place
The Frederick Law Olmstead designed parks in Buffalo are also pretty neat in how they were developed .... his 3 major parks that were connected were what is currently known as Delaware Park (350 acres), Front Park (32 acres), MLK Jr. Park
Durand Eastman Park & Beach in Rochester is 965 acres
Adirondack & Catskill parks dwarf everything else but technically they are forest preserves, while Allegany is the largest state park and it seems even larger being connected to the national forest in PA. There seem no areas in the state without great parks, I think one of the best assets of the state.
Eisenhower Park hardly counts. It's basically a giant golf course, and golf courses aren't parks in my opinion.
