Dyker Heights in Bklyn always makes the news. There's neighborhoods in Staten Island that go all out as well. In the Bronx, I think you can see the house on Pelham Pkwy from space, lol!! I remember hwen they had just a few dolls, lights & decorations on their front lawn back in the 70's. The houses all around Lake Carmel in Putnam County decorate like crazy too.

Dyker Heights
Two years ago, I went to Dyker Heights with my husband to see the Christmas decorations at night. Fantastic! Then we walked back to the subway (it was a long walk) and stopped at an incredible diner. A great evening.

''The Christmas House"
Have you guys forgotten about the bronx's ''The Christmas House" they work on this all year. Although they may get a little crazy, its worth it. Its on Westervelt avenue in the neighborhood of pelham parkway. I visit my cousin who lives on that street and during december you cannot sleep at night! Have everything from reindeer to movie stars. Thats not a bad tradition by the way.

I remember many years a friend took me to see nicely decorated homes in the area of Corona in Queens (NYC).
