Texas is not turning blue. Hispanics are like any other ethnic group. When they first get here they tend to vote Democrat. The second and especially the third generations assimilate (like any other group the third generation can barely speak any of their grandparents language) are more likely to vote Republican. And in the case of Hispanics, they have a very low voter participation rate.
Don't see what Democrats offer to Hispanics that is so special to them, other than pandering. Hispanics come from a dozen different countries, have different accents, culture and outlooks. A peasant from El Salvador and a businessman from Mexico have very little in common (yes, they speak Spanish and their last names might both be Gomez).
But the message from Democrats I always here to Hispanics (and blacks and others), is "vote for us, because without us your lives will be miserable under the Republicans who can't stand you. Enough already.
Puerto Ricans have been in NYC for more than three generations and they largely vote Democratic. Ditto for Mexicans in California. I have lived in Hispanic communities in both states. There is no overwhelming trend for third generation Hispanics to become Republican.

Again, not in the same context. South Carolina officially flew the confederate flag on it's state property for decades. The confederate flag is used by white hate groups and is deliberately meant to symbolize the pre civil war South. Groups like the KKK use it.
I have never heard of Russian or Italian gunmen walking into a black church and killing 9 people. South Carolina had a long history of violence against Black churches.
Why do blacks prosecute violent crimes against whites, so often, then? The ratio is somewhere in the neighborhood of 26:1, blacks prosecuting violent crimes against whites, vs. the other way around.

NYC is not the most racist city in the US. Utter garbage. It has people of all races from all around the world, something that an inbred moron from the wilderness cannot comprehend or deal with.
