Here's an article from the Ithaca Voice regarding some property purchases:
Ithaca Voice article about a possible site consolidation of Ithaca's governmental offices. This would have quite an impact on that area fo downtown and fee up some sites for further development:
Another Voice article about grocer Aldi expanding their store in an underserved area of the city. Of course this is near the recently rezoned "Waterfront Area" which could be a response to the hope of more residents moving to that section of the city.

Passed by Aldi on N. Meadow St. just north of the split several times on my last trip to Ithaca but saw hardly any cars in their lot. By contrast, Wegmans parking lot is usually jam packed as is their store.

Wegmans is awesome, but also a lot of people in and around Ithaca are well to do enough to not need Aldi.
Here around Elmira it's a different story though! haha Thank the stars for our Aldi.

Well, there still is a Wegmans in the Elmira area, not too far from the residents that live in the Miracle Mile area north of the city and the Heights.
