Hello,

The Mrs and I have a day off tomorrow, supposed to be nice weather..thinking of making a drive up to visit Woodbury commons outlet from Philly possible and was wondering if there is anything else interesting or worthwhile to do in or around the area? Any good breweries nearby we can visit for tours? Any awesome places to see any foliage? Any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks

For foliage, I'd recommend the Storm King Mountain Highway, probably a 20 minute drive or so from the Commons. You'll run into the Bear Mountain Bridge along the way and West Point too.

I've never been, but the Newburgh Brewing Company looks pretty cool; good reviews. Anna's Bakery in Congers has fantastic deserts, if you are into that.

I found this site with some attractions near woodbury commons like hot air ballons, etc:

Woodbury Outlets Hotels & Activities - Woodbury Outlet NY

If you plan to go shopping, you need the entire day, it is huge and one floor, the stores are spread. It is very nice

I know this is late, but in case anyone still needs to knowl West Point is a great area for checking out the leaves. Plus Bear Mountain State Park and Seven Lakes Drive. I drive up to Lake Tiorati, have a picnic lunch and walk around. Sloatsburg has some great places to get a takeout lunch.

You can head north and go to Storm King Art Center in Cornwall. They have an awesome collection of large modern sculpture, including Calders. The site/location is beautiful.

Visit Storm King
