This person is just not worth arguing with anymore, let he/she wallow in their own excrement. I'm out of there and soon you will be. They just come back with "Typical ad hominems" or you're not saying anything of substance, we gave them plenty of substance, yet they can't come up with anything to refute what we say. At this point it's better off to ignore this fool. It was fun, but now I'm starting to get a headache. It's amazing that they are in total denial as to who they are and what their plans are. I kind of predicted that after the last election that they would get more shrill and angry. They haven't proven me wrong.

I really think he is incapable of reading, or unable to understand the things he's read.

His questions are pretty clearly answered by everyone.

Indeed I do! How soon they forget. Now that that the shoe is on the other foot the only thing that they can do is call anyone who is opposed to Obama a racist. They use it so often that it no longer has any meaning. Who the hell cares what they want to call us? Screw 'em. No matter what race their politicians are it is the policies of the Democratic Party that we oppose and must work to defeat. One of the most asinine statements that they come up with is that the Republicans want to block Obama's agenda and are the party of no. Well no kidding? That's exactly what we expect the Republicans to do. Otherwise we might as well not vote. They act and talk as if they were always cooperative with a Republican administration. What a bunch of freakin' hypocrites.

The sad part about that is that these people vote. They know damn well what the truth and facts are but choose to ignore them. Lies, deception and fraud are their forte and methods of operation. They know that the American people are wising up to it. About the only thing positive about "Obamacare". They are losing voters, so their scheme is to convince Republicans that they can't win elections unless they get the Hispanic vote. As if they really want to help Republicans win elections. They are doing this so they can grant amnesty to the tens of millions of illegal invaders already in this country and to the tens of millions more that will come. These invaders will become dependent on the socialist welfare programs that are so dear to the Democrat's hearts. Guaranteeing that the Democratic Party will be ruling into perpetuity. There is no other rational reason for importing and growing an impoverished class of poorly educated low skilled people into the United States. There certainly aren't enough jobs to go around to keep them gainfully employed. There are not enough jobs for Americans for Christ's sake. This will really screw the working poor first then push the middle class further down the economic ladder growing the welfare state even further. They think that the American people are not capable of figuring this all out. Government dependency means government control that is their goal. But first they have to abolish constitutional law.

What the hell does that have to do with the SAFE Act?
Sigh. I was answering your slippery slope/hypotheticals statement. In the simplest ****ing terms, a gun is a tool - for protection. Against anyone or anything that intends to harm me or people I care about.

You can talk about "hypotheticals" all you want. Most discussions of opposing opinions involve hypothetical scenarios. I asked why you have insurance - for hypothetical injuries, sickness, etc? Why do you spend so much money on something you might never use or need? Let me answer for you. I dont really need a answer, I understand its wise to be prepared.

Again, I hope I never have to use one of my guns on a person - but Id rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

As for the protection against govt stuff - people can write that off as paranoia all they want, I could care less. I dont trust govt. Everything they do it out of self interest, and/or control, and if you think they give the slightest **** about the people at all, your incredibly naive and need to read a book.

Yet that is the strategy: to distract by parsing every comment with which s/he disagrees. Particularly amusing is running to Google and "sourcing" juvenile sites. Some posters deserve to be ignored; s/he's one of them.

The informed among us know that the "SAFE" act is just more feel-good, euphemistically-named legislation that does nothing to keep guns out of "the wrong people's" hands. But it does oppress the rest of us, and that makes it a success for the gun-grabbers.

To add to the point about keeping guns out of the hands of criminals, the best part is that the "Safe Act" can't even keep a fully featured AR out of the hands of a law-abiding citizen. Since every single part can still be legally purchased in NY... well, let me stop there. I don't want to give these idiots any ideas.

Exactly! That's the only purpose that it serves. Political retribution against those who do not think like "Ill Duce" and his ilk.
Reminiscent of what happened in Nazi Germany, first through propaganda, demonize a group of people then crush them using the full power of government. Turning otherwise law abiding citizens into criminals, forcing them to forfeit there lawfully owned property, with the stroke of a pen is indeed a form of oppression. It is punishing others for the crimes of someone else. Yet they can't understand why anyone would be outraged?

Confiscation of all registered weapons will be next for those who lawfully registered their weapons. That was the purpose for it. The state now has a method to collect them. "Ill Duce" said before the act was passed that "confiscation was indeed on the table". This will be the only avenue left so they can prove again to the ignorant public of how tough they are on guns. They will never leave us alone. I am so grateful to be living in Arizona where just about every law abiding citizen owns a gun(s) it makes it that much more difficult to pass this type of oppressive legislation. Along with that our state constitution goes beyond the federal constitution with regard to the 2nd Amendment:
Quote:
"The right of the individual citizen to bear arms in defense of himself or the state shall not be impaired, but nothing in this section shall be construed as authorizing individuals or corporations to organize, maintain, or employ an armed body of men".
However no matter where one chooses to live we still have to be vigilant. "Progressives" are everywhere.
