Question Newfane NY

My wife and I are currently going through the arduious task of seeking a new place to live. I only moved over from Scotland about two years ago and my wife has lived in baltimore county, where we currently reside, most of her life. Now that we have our first child, who has only just turned 1, we are planning a move to a better community based on a number of factors such as education systems, low crime rates, housing prices, etc. During our weeks and months of searching, we have identified Manchester in New Hampshire and Newfane in NY as a couple of disctinct possibilites. It is fairly easy to find out about Manchester in NH, but I'm finding it a little harder to find out about Newfane. It would be great to know from anyone that lives there or has lived there about their views of the city itself and whether they think it would be a good move for a young family looking for an affordable house (somewhere in the 150 - 200k range). I am in healthcare so job prospects are fairly open for me wherever I go, we just want a safe and friendly community.

Are you searching Newfane, NY in Niagara County?

http://www.olcott-newfane.com/

Newfane is a small rural town. This site includes Olcott Beach, which is close to it ( mostly summer people or really well-to-do with houses on the lake all year). There are several sites about Newfane if you just search Newfane NY. I live about 45 min. from there.
