hahahahahahahahaha. That was one of the best posts I've read on this forum in a long time. He/she (it?) could find something to complain about if God himself came down to WNY, graced us with an endless amount of sunshine and warmth, gave high paying jobs and pots of gold to everyone, got rid of all taxes and cow poop from the factory farms and made us all imortal. I can see it now "well....there's still a crack in the sidewalk infront of my house..Upstate NY is the worse place ever and nobody should ever like it here!"

Haha. I'm with you guys. Honestly, what is the point of the constant negativity? Please, to those who have not one good thing to say: go back to the cave that spawned you and your breed of venom-spewers.

The Rise and Fall of Buffalo NY.
The numbers say all that needs to be said.
Keep pumping this area for all it's worth. I'll just
push the handle down on the toilet and flush.
What are you going to do when the Buffalo Bills leave the area? The suicide hotline will be ringing off the hook when that happens......and it's just around the corner. It will happen long before they build that new bridge over the Niagara River, I can assure you of that!

Well, if the Buffalo Bills leave the region around the same time you do, I'm sure everyone will be able to get over it!

Honestly, you've turned me into a rubber-necker: can't pass on your consistently negative posts about Buffalo. Let me give you a brief lesson in the rise and fall of the NE: The northeast was the quickest developing part of the nation from the beginning. It had the factories, the harbors, the jobs. Then the economic climate changed, the manufacturing evolved, jobs moved overseas, and the masses began leaving the north for the better job opportunities, for retirement purposes, and for tha fact that we are a transient people looking for better (otherwise the US would still be the 13 colonies, correct?) so the NE has seen a drop in population as a result. It's cyclical and if you lived another 100 years, I guarantee the tide will turn north again especially when water shortages becomes a major issue and the weather, be it global warming or just mother nature turning over, becomes so unbearable in the south/southwest (Cornell studies has reported that upstate NY will have the weather of Georgia in 50 years...so what does that tell you of Georgia's weather at that point) that people will head back.
But I'm sure my post is an entire waste of time because you are so transfixed on downing this area but do us a favor: stop telling the people who love it here and or have moved back from the utopias of the country that THEY are wrong....
But I'm sure you won't.
And I'm a Patriots fan anyways.....
Oh, and I was educated in NYS....how'd they do?
Peace

It's going to be a LONG TIME before Buffalo gets better. All the Union Goons will have to die off as they are the only ones left in this area and they are trapped in a time warp. They still think the Steel Plants are here to STEAL from. The Glory days are gone. I grow weary of the realtors pumping Buffalo and WNY like it's the next boom town.......it's NOT! and it won't be until TAXES are reduced to the point of being competetive with neighboring states and GOVERNMENT is reduced to the point that it's not the LARGEST EMPLOYER in Erie County. Until that happens, nothing will change and YOUR CHILDREN will continue to move away.
ENJOY!

Actually, my children, (one's in medicine, one's in finance, and one's in management) laugh at me when I wring my hands and tell them they should be packing their belongings and running, running, running as fast as they can out of the State of NY into the light......the dog's been getting a bit ansy though. Maybe he's the canary in the mine? If he comes up missing, I'll be sure to check the borders.......lol....now I'm cracking MYSELF up!

They can't predict the weather a week from now but we'll have the climate of Georgia in 50 years. They missed the October storm last year and called for light rain that day but Florida will be underwater in 50 years. I remeber reading National Geographic Magazine in the 1970's where they said we'd be in a NEW ICE AGE by now. Get real.
