Default Where would an inner city colored man feel comfortable in upstate NY?

Hi All,

I'm considering moving from CA. Any thoughts where I would fit in?
Which towns, suburbs are good for a colored man.

What are your interests? Job location? Do you prefer a small town or a big(ger) city? As far as I am concerned, the best town for you has more to do with those questions than race.
Best of luck to you in your search.
Joanne

I agree with skeneatelesmom....there are pleny of "minory-friendly" neighborhoods upstate. The question comes in as to what type of neighborhood do you want? If your looking for a hood- you can find a bunch of those. If your looking for a place that is accepting of minorities yet still up-and-coming you have those neighborhood too. Can you please clarify?

I'm looking for peace and quiet in Orange County, NY. The schools are great, but I'm also concerned about blacks and hispanics being accepted there. Can anyone who lives in Orange county reply to my question? Thanks. I'm from the Bronx, NY and I know some neighborhoods are safer than others.

I don't get it. Are you asking which neighborhoods are safe
for people of color?
