You asked for small towns, entertainment, and not 'really needing to leave'. I gave you entertainment, and only needing to drive 10 minutes in a small town. There's small markets and farmer's markets for food, pharmacy, just no supermarkets or clothing stores.

Ok...Got it, as I misread the post.

Are there other nearby towns that would fit or closer to fitting the total criteria?

Akron, NY and if I can remember Skaneateles as well....... Akron is lacking in entertainment per say, BUT for some reason or another runs a lot of its own electrical supply for the town itself. There's shopping, but not a whole lot. Skaneateles, NY has its own power system as well ion I can remember correctly, and is a relatively short drive to Auburn/Ithaca/Corning/Syracuse so therefore there's no shortage of entertainment, shopping etc if you wanna leave the town to get more of it. And fun fact, Skaneateles Lake is among the cleanest in the FL region, to the point where Syracuse gets a lot of its water from the lake

In Orange County, possibly Florida. I think they have a supermarket, a few restaurants, schools, and a few other amenities. I don't think they have any clothing stores though and definitely less entertainment compared to GWL.
Sugarloaf is interesting, tons of cute little shops (though so many moved to Warwick) but doesn't really have much else.
How small of a town do you want, population limits?

Warwick is larger (population looks small on city data, but that's not including anyone outside city limits). But they have many small boutiques, tons of restaurants and bars, festivals, farmers markets, supermarkets, bowling alley, drive -in movie theater, parks. Inns, bed and breakfasts, library, vineyards.... So much more. Warwick is a beautiful and fantastic town, though I just never think of it as small but I guess relatively it is a 'small town'
