I'm further inland BUT my goodness there is some sort of water all over the place, river, lakes, marsh, creeks basically ideal conditions for all these nasty biting insects.

Yes, I'd also like to know where the area you are in. I was hoping they wouldn't be bad near the lake or river but I know that's where they are bad in Florida. They especially like to breed in the mangroves down there.
