All I can add to the foregoing is this observation about the "building boom" in Virgil. They're talking about a couple of dozen new homes over five years in an area of nearly 50 square miles. A "building boom" by Cortland County standards would be one new house in 500 sq mi. So, compared to places like the Poconos, this "boom" hardly registers on a scale more familiar to outsiders. What outsiders there are sureely didn't by the few new homes along South Cortland-Virgil Road in the winter.
