Default Best winter place to visit on the st. lawrence seaway

Looking to head up there for the weekend, what do you guys recommend? It's been awhile since I have visited the 1000 islands and it was in the summer.

I would recommend going to Lake Placid/Saranac Lake instead. A lot of things are shut down in Alexandria Bay this time of season. WHat are you looking to do?

Most of the 1000 Isles are pretty sleepy. Jump over to Kingston, Ontario if you want a good time. Only about 30 miles from the TI Bridge and lots of great stuff going on. Great college town.

I 2nd the Adirondacks. Even in the summer, I don't think Alex Bay or 1000 Islands are the liveliest areas anymore, especially in the winter

Default Lake Placid

If you are into any outdoor activities or traveling down the olympic bobsled, come up to Lake Placid.

I got married in 2004 at Boldt Castle in Alex Bay. Summers are gorgeous winters are dead.
