Little falls NY
Does anyone here know about this town. What is a rental and a job situation there and surrounding areas. I might have to move to the area and want to know as much as possible.
How difficult or easy to find a rental or even buy a house. I understand there is a river there as well.
Any information would be appreciated.
Happy Thanksgiving to all

Any Luck?
My wife and I are also looking to relocate. Just recently we took a trip to upstate New York and drove through a bunch of towns, Little Falls included. Of all the places we visited, and we saw a lot driving over 1,000 miles, this was the most interesting to us. The homes, streets, city buildings, etc. were all picturesque, kind of dreamy even. Research tells me that the cost of living is pretty affordable, of course that's relative. Jobs might be a problem, but Utica is only 25 miles away.
Other than that I wouldn't be able to offer much, I hope that somebody living there can add something helpfull. Good luck.

Little Falls info.
Hello, why are you moving to Little Falls? I am relativealy familiar with the area, I lived around there before, and I don't know why you would want to live there really. The town is pretty run down and dead as far as I'm concerned. It is about 5- 10 minutes from I-90 (the Thruway) so that's a good thing I guess. Alot of the town's houses are placed on steep hills, and very close together. Unless you are on the outside of town then it's not soo... bad. There are a couple banks, a library, and a few other things like that. Little falls is close to Herkimer, there is a Walmart, Applebees, Dollar store, Hannaford, etc. not as big as Utica but you can get most of your things there. There are no malls or anything like that unless you go to Utica. 5s Is a main road between Little Falls and Utica, but the road is not well taken care of in the winter. There is water in and around Little Falls. In June of this year we had a significant flood and the area got hit very hard! Be careful to ask around to find out if the area you are going to got hit, or is in a flood zone. Utica has alot of stuff to do, and places to shop. It's a least a half hour drive. Herkimer does have a community college also. I hope this has been a little help. I will be happy to answer any other questions I can. Good Luck.

Hi Mark06. Thanks for the info, I appreciate the honesty. What I really liked about the town was the beauty of it all, the homes, parks, downtown buildings, etc., it just seemed like a great place to raise a family. Since I am retired I am not concerned about a job or travel. What I really would like to know more about is the schools and people. Where did you live? Do you know anybody that lives, or has lived, in Little Falls? Thanks again for your help.
