About 14% of Green-Card Holders (non-citizen) vote -- | National Review

Immigrants vote 4 to 1 in favor or Democrats vs Republicans.

You can read this report from Pew Research Center to find those numbers Are unauthorized immigrants overwhelmingly Democrats? | Pew Research Center

Since 1970 we have imported 38 million legal immigrants. Add here 12-20 million illegal aliens in this country, who are in the pipeline as Democratic voters, although 2.2% of them still votes.

So, is the Catholic Church in cahoots with this supposed government plan, given that Catholic agencies have been an integral part in getting refugees/immigrants into the state? I've even heard that this may be done due to the church losing members/parishioners and these immigrants may be potential members. I don't know if this true, but this something I've heard.

Supposed government Plan?

Immigration, impoverishment, class warfare, etc. has been central to Liberals / Progressives' strategy and platform for a long time. This is known and public.

Just because you may not know it, it does not mean it does not exist.

Our Federal Govt has become a tool of the liberals / progressives, aka Marxists. If anything, in most years, GOP has been complicit, especially as of late.

So yes, unchecked immigration has been institutionalized, while opponents have been marginalized, and shamed into compliance. They are called bigots, racists, toothless hicks who marry their sisters. God Forbid PC police puts you on their crosshairs -- they'll try to ruin your business (if you have one)

Message is pretty clear -- comply or be destroyed.

No absurdity lasts forever. This will not either.

So, how does this work in regards to more Republican states on the border like Texas and Arizona, where a lot immigrants of the illegal/undocumented variety have entered the country?

Also, the immigrants into NY have always been an ethnically/racially/religiously diverse set. So, what is the difference now?

Obviously states that have higher populations and higher paying jobs will be paying more federal taxes. It's simple math. The Progressive nonsense is when you feel that other states owe New York something. You can't expect a state with 3 million residents to be paying the same in federal income taxes as a state with say 8 million people. It's all relative. If all 3 million people made $50,000 a year and paid 10% to the federal government of course it would be a lot less than a state where 8 million people made the same $50,000 and paid the same 10% to the federal government.

It's your home state's policies that determine what the cost of living is in any particular state. There is no reason in the world why it has to cost so much to live in a state such as New York. Stop trying to shift the blame on others for New York's woes.

States (Texas, AZ, etc) cannot override Federal Govt. SCOTUS ruled that Feds have plenary power. "Plenary" means "whole", "exclusive" "no one else has any power."

TX, AZ are fighting this via anti-illegal policies, vs California for example. That's why many illegals leave border states and flock to Welfare states and cities -- NYC and NYS for example.

But crossing the border on-foot is only one way of entering illegally. About 40% of visa-holders overstay their visas. They come via airports mostly. NYS (NYC) for example is a major port of entry. Especially for Middle-East legal visitors, who become illegal aliens by overstaying their visas.

Two differences.

First, in the past there have been a lot more Europeans entering NY. European cultures have a lot more in common to American culture than Latin or Eastern cultures. Europeans (especially Western Europe) also represent more developed civilizations than the others. I could care less for PC here, but that's the truth.

Non-European societies have not gone through reformation / emancipation. Many societies whose members who import are still backward 7th century societies who still consider women property along with donkeys and goats. Or being gay is a sin punishable by death.

Secondly, now, as opposed to the past, we no longer insist that immigrants leave their mindset behind, and now become Americans, regardless of their skin color, religion. Now we do not assimilate. Most immigrants are racists, and they stay within their ethnic sect. We're no longer the melting pot.

In their platform liberals also employ "Divide at Impera" (Divide and Rule) strategy. So non-assimilation is a policy.

Those people should talk. Syracuse is the "dump of dumps" and I should know having grown up there. We own a brewery in Ontario County and still If I had my choice I would have started the brewery in a state down south or out west. Not enough people here to make a living in the service industry and the taxes/regulations are a killer.

Great job Henry!

For some people the truth really hurts, that's why there's all the name calling. They've got no rational argument of their own to justify the astronomical costs of illegal immigration to this nation. Not to mention the lowering of wages and increased competition for jobs that are already scarce.

It's not a racist thing. Personally I don't care what race color or creed an individual is as long as they follow the rules, come here legally wanting to assimilate and become true American citizens. The Balkanization of America can not continue for it will lead to the death of this once great Republic. E Pluribus Unum: "Out of many one". One nation, one language, one people regardless of race, color or creed.

The sad thing to me is that the look of the houses resemble Appalachia. It's unfortunate that as each year passes, the houses get more and more run-down and down-right uninhabitable looking. Shacks.

And really how can you blame people in upstate NY living in shacks. There are no jobs, the weather is a killer and makes everything rot, the property taxes/government perpetual lease fees are so sky-high if you have a job most of your income goes to pay that. Then if you try to fix up your government-leased property, the government raises your assessment and the taxes go even higher. People are so beaten down in upstate NY that everyone/place has the look of Appalachia in the 1930's. Sad.

Again, Great job Henry!

I live in Arizona. There's no welcome mat rolled out for them here. The ones that do stay are mostly in Phoenix and Tucson where the cities are more Liberal .
