Just curious, but while I may have asked this question in specific forums before, I was wondering as to what neighborhoods or communities(town/city/village, etc) could be or you would suggest to a wide range of people(ethnic/racial, economic, social, etc.)? If it is a bigger city, what are some neighborhoods that would or could come to mind?

Also, why would you suggest these places?

Good point! I guess I'll state it for a diverse set of people that are within these categories: young professionals, families and retirees.

So, I guess the state doesn't have places/areas that could be suggested to a diverse range of people. It is just something that is based upon what you think may be a good fit for a wide range of people.

I would say the Park Ave. area of Rochester.

I say this because I have taken many people to this area and everyone has really enjoyed it. I have been there with my family (wife and three young kids), college aged friends of different ethnicity's, out-of-town friends in their 20's and 30's both liberal and conservative minded , my mother, aunt, and uncle all in there mid-60's, even took my 80 year old grandmother to Park Ave fest and she enjoyed it.

I think "gt87" nailed it. If not the Park Ave. area, I'd say most anywhere along the ROC-SYR corridor (though I'm not all that familiar once one gets past the half-way point to SYR). Imo, ROC and the northern Finger Lakes Region is pretty darn nice for anyone.
