Default Wanting to move to Washingtonville

I live in the town of Newburgh and around 20 years ago lived in the village of Washingtonville. Even though I live about 15 miles away I just don't get a chance to visit Washingtonville. But the other day when I passed through the village I felt really homesick. I am thinking of moving there soon as I hate the Newburgh school district where I teach and where my daughter goes to school. How are the Washingtonville schools. I graduated from Wash'ville high a long time ago and it was a great school at that time. Have things changed now? Which is the best Elementary school? What do homes cost now? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help

washingtonville is not a good school district a bunch of wannabee gangsters are in this town and a lot of drugs. drugs are everywhere though as we all know. It is a great place to live compared to newburgh, It is a beautiful village. Just about all the kids want to be ghetto which causes a problem. Also what i dont get about this village is how 3 barbershops 10 second walks away all run by black men manage to stay in business. Nothing to do with them being black but i mean how is this. The village is so small and it is expensive to rent a building in washingtonville. Your kids will be 100x safer in washingtonville then newburgh though. But i mean why not send them to cornwall goshen monroe warwick or other schools where not everyone is trying to pretend to be a gangster. I wouldnt send them to middletown or pine bush though either pine bush may be a rural district but middletown is part of that school district also. Send your daughter to washingtonville if you want but she will most likely become a wanabee thug since thats what all the kids of washingtonville put such a emphasis on.

And where did that come from exactly? I’ve been living in Washingtonville for a few years already, and haven’t experienced anything like that. The village is rather quit. The school district is pretty decent; being picky myself I am happy with my child’s curriculum. The best elementary school, IMHO, is Little Britain, and then goes Round Hill, and then Taft.

do you have a child in the high school? stick around long enough and you will see what i was talking about, the elementary schools are all nice, but once your kids start hitting middleschool to high school you will see what im talking about. Im just trying to warn people, i have been in this district for a while, and they have these stupid wannabee gang problems every year. They had to have cops in the school one year because a gang of kids from westchester came up to fight a gang of wannabees ending up in like 50 kids chasing them around washingtonville along with teachers weird right, look in the newspapaer articles on recordonline.com you'll see all the stupid crap that goes on that isnt talked about in the school.

Heres the wannabee gangster stuff for you
