I came across this interesting list: The 19 New York Restaurants You Must Try In 2018

Any commentary about any of the restaurants on the list?

As a bonus, here is another list for the foodies: The 11 Best Little Food Towns In New York You Need To Visit Before They Get Too Popular

Most of them make sense, but I am really, really surprised to see Penn Yan on this list. Something must have changed in the last 7-10 years because the food selection there was awful when I was in college - i would never have put it on the same list as Canandaigua or Phoenicia.

I can vouch for Mac's on that list. Nothing fancy. Just a drive up carhop kind of place. But the Root beer floats are great on a hot day and the burgers and rings are great. Well worth a summer or fall drive from Syracuse or Rochester.

A few restaurants I can recommend in our travels upstate include the Red Newt Bistro in Hector NY. Red Newt Bistro - Red Newt Cellars and the Big Moose Inn north of Old Forge NY. Adirondack Hotel and Tavern - The Big Moose Inn

Both restaurants have a water view and the food we were served has never let us down. Great service at both establishments. Please share your goto upstate Restaurants.
