Default Trenton/Trenton Falls? Barneveld? Nearby towns/villages?

Anyone know anything about these towns, esp. if they're unspoiled architecturally and would be good places to raise a family w/ young kids?

Thanks!

My cousin and her husband live in Barneveld and really enjoy it. Decent housing prices with a lot of land availability. It's pretty quiet and untouched up there. Lots of snowmobiling. Utica is about a 20 minute drive south on Route 12. I grew up in that region (Mohawk Valley) and would argue that it's one of the best places to raise kids. I think Upstate NY in general is a great place to raise kids.
