I'm considering two job offers right now: 1) a position with New York State government (administration, G-18) and 2) a position with a private nonprofit.
I'm curious if others who currently work for New York State Government would share the approximate cost of health care through New York State Civil Service--is $200/month for an employee to pay for a family policy reasonable to assume? I know it would vary depending upon what plan you choose, but I ask because I think an offer is forthcoming on the nonprofit job and I want to be able to know what I could be passing up with New York State.
