Default Ithaca - pollen, allergies?

Some towns are know to be bad for allergies. I live in one some years back . It was surrounded by mountains and had no wind to blow the pollen away. Before moving, I want to make sure not to make that mistake again.

Does anyone know if Ithaca has this problem?

I dunno if you want to live in the city...because Ithaca city is in a small but notable valley surrounded by large hills. However, the town of Ithaca and neighbouring villages are within a few minutes of Ithaca proper, and are on the hillsides (the land is also flatter just to the north). It might be more beneficial healthwise if you consider the nearby communities as an option.

On the bright side, the area is really quite beautiful right now- you never realise how many flowering trees there are until they're in bloom.
