Default Paying more at the tolls in NYS

For some things I do get fedup about, this is one of them. Today the Thruway Authority voted to increase tolls by 5% in 2009, and another 5% in 2010.

The increase isn't warrented, but the vote was approved today anyways. Thus the taxpayers have to bear the burden of having to pay more.

Quote:
ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - The cost of driving on the New York State Thruway is going up.

The Thruway Authority's Board of Directors approved a series of toll hikes that managers of the 641-mile superhighway say will raise about $375 million over the next three years.
Quote:
Governor David Paterson opposes the proposed toll hike. He issued a statement Thursday that says the toll hike runs against his efforts to reduce spending by all state agencies by more than three percent.

Feel free to share your thoughts on this increase.

I moved out of NYS ages ago. I think you should move out too instead of complaining.

Did you ever hear the saying: "If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for everything"?
