Default Building Permits in Towns Around Ithaca?
Hello,

We're moving to the area around Ithaca, NY (not in Ithaca) and were considering building a home. What is the permit process like?

Are there deed restrictions/stringent building requirements? We're not seeking to build anything bizarre, however sometimes towns have demanding requirements.

Also, would appreciate feedback on property and school taxes... got a little confused when trying to do research.

....It all depends on where....zoning varies by locale.
