Thumbs up Cabin in Allegany

Looking to rent a cabin in the Allegany National Forestry. Any ideas for a great place with a reasonable price?

Allegany State Park is a great place to camp. Their cabins are reasonably priced but you have to book at least 6 months to a year in advance. Try the Quaker side for fantastic trails and better swimming.

Default uh

Uh..I'm from Allegany county..ny..and Alleghany state park is in a different county and area then where you stayed..I also lived out there in Catt. Co.. Go to allegany county website . It has some tourist information and you can get some ideas /leads that way. I do hope you enjoy it. If you go to Wellsville, make sure to check out the Texas hot.. Allegany county has plenty of small ponds and two lakes, Cuba and Rushford..Neither lake will be private, they are crammed full of houses. They do have rentals though.
And it is Allegany county.. not near the town or park of...or river..(all spelled differnt too..weird..),though the genesee does pass through it.
I wish you well!

Are you looking for a cabin in Allegany State Park (65K acres in Cattaraugus county, NY) or the Allegheny National Forest (500K acres in Pennsylvania, just below Allegany State Park), or either one?

I don't think there are many cabins available on private lakes, they are typically very small lakes or ponds and expensive. But in the Allegheny National Forest in PA, there are many remote creeks where you can camp. If you want to be on a lake, you might try tent camping off the Allegheny Reservoir (Kinzua Lake), the shoreline is all undeveloped wooded hills in PA, with exception to a marina and a few campsites. You can tent camp (technically you have to be no closer than 1500 feet from shore) on your own or you can try on one of the Allegheny National Forest campsites. Allegheny National Forest - Welcome!

Thank you for explanation and link. I am looking for a cabin in the Alleghenny National Forest. It's beatiful. Reminds me of Carpathian (Karpaty) mountains in Europe where I grew up.
I'll do my homework. I'd appreciate your help.
