This is the full view of an article I posted in the Syracuse Chat thread in that area forum, but here is the full article for people to view and the income is based off of median family income: https://www.newyorkupstate.com/news/...rea-chart.html

Are there any places that surprise anyone either way? I guess a surprise that I saw is that Skaneateles(village) was higher than Pittsford(village) and many places Downstate with a higher income reputation. It has the highest median family income out of all cities, villages and CDP(census designated places) in Upstate NY. Things could be different at the town and school district levels though.

What's amazing is that we let 3 villages get away with not reporting income (in the case of Kaser, New Village, and Bloomingburg) and therefore, not paying taxes. Somehow they're supporting a house and family of 8 on a household income of $26,000. Sure, ok. I'd think diamond sales were more lucrative than that, but what do I know .

But no one looks into it for some odd reason...

On the top end, I wouldn't have pegged Golden's Bridge CDP as high as it is, higher than most of the Hamptons. Golden's Bridge always seemed average to me, nice but average: https://goo.gl/maps/Qn4qTrveBBNetmzD6

I'm not surprised, as it has long been a well healed community, that became discovered decades ago.

Any other surprises within the list? Just to give context, the national 1 year median family income for 2021 is $85,806 and for the period in the article(2021 5 year data) is $85,028 nationally.
