Onondaga Central is just south and SW of Syracuse and has a range from working/middle class Nedrow(CDP), newer suburban development in the outer parts of Onondaga Hill to very rural around South Onondaga, which is where the Jr/Sr High is located. Nedrow is about 10% Black and about the same percentage Native American, as it is in between the city of Syracuse and the Onondaga Nation Reservation. It also has 3 churches that worship out of the African Anerican tradition and has a long time Black presence, possibly due to migrant farming(apple orchards are in rural parts of district) and proximity to the Onondaga Nation and Syracuse.
