Question Any off-post housing close to West Point?

I PCS from Drum to West Point in a few months, am currently deployed and trying to get a head start on the apartment hunt. I've heard the on-post housing is pretty run down, and I'm not really seeing a whole lot on the internet near West Point, the closest one I see is Chelsea Ridge like 20 miles away. Anyone know the area pretty well and can give me some suggestions on places I might have missed?

Jen,

There are several options available to you. There are several apartment complexes throughout the area...some pretty close to post in Cornwall and New Windsor. You can also venture down into the Monroe area and you will find several other apartments down there. You can also search on Realtor.com for homes that are for rent. Depending on your budget, you can find a good deal of homes up for rent due to the recent down turn in the local Real Estate Market.

Best of luck to you in your PCS and Moderator cut: realtor soliciting ...I'm prior service Marine and know how difficult it could be sometimes finding your way around new areas.
