Default Halfway between Groton, MA and Rochester, NY?

Hello
This is my first day on here. I currently live in Groton, MA. My sister lives in Penfield NY. I want to move somewhere in the middle of these two locations which is either in the Berkshires or Albany I think. I want to buy a nice small house for about $150,000. I am a 45 year old divorced mother of four. My grown children will stay in the Boston area. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you so much.
PS I couldn't figure out where to post my question, can you help me?

Smile Have you considered Syracuse area

Hi, Maybe you might want to consider Syracuse area. It is a bit further West than the areas you mentioned and a bit closer to Rochester area. Visit the Syracuse web site to see what the area looks like and job and living opportunities as well. FWIW the children will eventually grow up and may even move away from the Boston Area. Syracuse has Hancock Airport and flights between Syracuse and Boston are possible at affordable prices while a drive from Penfield to Syracuse and visa versa is roughly an hour or two at most via New York Thruway a nice and scenic drive as well. My thoughts are based on fact your sister residence will probably remain generally the same in the future as would yours so in years to come I think living nearer to your sister might become as important a factor as being near your children who probably well might relocate after schoolŽis finished or?
