I did it for 6 months in 1986. It sucked, long boring thankless ride. I worked in Henrietta, and lived in N. Tonawanda. Never again, of course I now live in Indiana...........talk about boring!

Question how'd the commute go?

Minusach - Did you decide to commute between Buffalo and Rochester? I just moved to Williamsville and took a job in Rochester. I'm trying to decide whether to get an appartment in Rochester, but I'd miss seeing my husband, who works here in Buffalo. Please let me know how it went and if you tried public transportation or ride share. Thanks!

I don't know if you guys are doing this commute, but something to keep in mind is that in the winter months when the snow is pounding Batavia, Corfu, Thruway area, you should be able to take NYS 31 from Lockport to Brockport and pick up 531 to I490 to I390 to get into Henrietta with minimal snow problems. That route takes much longer than I90 in good weather, but probably not if there is bad weather on I90.
