Question Hauntings in upstate?

My mother is really in to shows and books that have haunted places in them so it got me thinking and wondering.

If you live in upstate new york have you ever lived in a place you could swear was haunted? in what way?

I guess i am curious about hauntings in this awesome state. I'm more interested in personal experiences.

i just cant trust those tv shows where they go to popular haunted spot A-Z, turn off lights (do ghost's actually care?), and run around with screaming with a shacky night camera. Im more interested in personal experances.

Have you checked out web sites like www.shadowlands.com? (broken link) They've got a lot of info, and I think they have ghost sightings/supernatural occurances listed by state. That would be a good place to start. They gave me some helpful advice once when I was having trouble with my, uh, poltergeist!
