Default Warwick: Drilled Well vs. Municipal water

Cheers,

I'm looking to find the pros and cons of having a Drilled Well vs. Municipal water in the Warwick.

There are two specific aspects that I want to know:
1) Quality of water table in various areas of the Warwick vs quality of the municipal water
2) Long term costs of maintaining the water well vs constant costs of the municipal water.

Specifically I'm interested in quality of the water in the Cascade Rd area, Dutch Hollow area, Covered Bridge Rd area and Kings Highway area.

Please also write about history of water pollution in the Warwick area - regardless of the cause.

Thanks for all answers!!!

Municiple water is treated with Chlorine and flouride (just two of many) Chlorine is proven to cause Bladder and Colon cancer Chlorinated Water Can Affect Cancer Risk - Articles . Flouride is a poison equal in toxicity to Arsenic Fluoride: An Invisible Killer . I'd take my chances with a well. Ask a close neighbor on well water if you can have a sample tested. I'd bet it's a helluva lot safer that what you'll get out of the public system.

Where can I find such statistics? Is it for Warwick village or Warwick township (including Florida, Greenwood Lake, etc) ????

Default Water is...

Been living in Warwick for 1 year-off Cascade Road. Have a well and the water is extremely high in iron. Though the house came with a water softener/filter it wasn't enough. Eventually bacteria (sulfur) got out of hand and in desperation I called this local outfit (Jones) and installed a higher quality water filtering system.
Jones said Warwick water is known for not being so good.
I found that out last summer when I put up a temporary pool-+6000 gallons-and the water turned brown upon shocking it. The pool place in the village found NO iron. And then I couldn't control the rotten egg smell from sulfur.
Radon is another issue in the northeast.
I don't know how far the town goes with providing water. Cascade Road has a lot of turns and bends and can get pretty detached from a main road.
Also consider-we lose power here a lot-so no power-no well water since it gets pumped up into the house. We have a generator.
