I also thank you for sharing the photos and the other poster for the memories. I must be a little younger than the second poster because I don't remember most of the activities, except for the delicious ice cream sandwiches at Mullen's. I think that's gone, at least I didn't see it when I was there for my high school reunion in 06. I thought the downtown area seemed to be dying, and that it was much more vital in the 60's and 70's, but I was a kid and didn't even realize at the time that the houses on Front Street were so big and beautiful even though I had friends that lived in some of them.
Hope that Owego weathers the recent layoffs at its larger employers and people come out of this recession well.
