Default Move from Northern CA to Orange cty NY

Hi All

am considering moving to NY! I am single, just need to find an affordable place to rent and nice location. Travel to city would be nice as if i get lucky and get a job there! As to jobs, are they available? Where is a good place to go to meet single guys in that area, as Im a bit tired of being single! and dating in cal didnt work out , spent most of my time working to pay rent LOL!

Thanks all

This is soo funny. I just posted my first entry about how I just moved to Middletown NY from Sacramento CA(born and raised in Santa Rosa CA) and how the people are definately not as open and friendly as california. It sure is pretty here. Reminds me of Sonoma County CA but I do miss my "hellos " and smiles from others. Customer service is not the same and the vibe is different. I am married so I do not know about the singles scene but I cannot imagine it would be outstanding. The rent is not as cheap as you would think it would be either. The housing prics are cheaper but the rent does not really corrolate.good luck in your decision.
