My family and I are moving next week to Saugerties, and are looking for a pediatrician for our son. Any recommendations would be great. Also, does anyone know about the hospitals in the area? I know there are some in Kingston, but don't know much about them.

There are no pediatricians in Saugerties. You will only find them in Kingston and the major practice there is Pine Street Pediatrics. They are a large practice of about 8-10 Doctors, all of which are very nice.
There are two hospitals in Kingston-one being Kingston Hospital located on Broadway and Benedictine Hospital which is about two blocks off of Broadway. Benedictine is a catholic hospital. There is talk that they may be merging but I am not sure how true that is at this time. As to which hospital is best I think everyone has their own opinion. Good luck with your move. If you don't mind me asking where in Saugerties are you moving? |

Bzmom, thanks for the helpful response. I have a feeling we'll be doing a lot of driving to Kingston. We're moving to the Village of Saugerties. Do you live in the area?

I grew up in Saugerties but currently reside in Woodstock. Glad I could help. If you have any further questions feel free to ask. I know how confusing this can all be for someone not familiar with the area. Since you will be living in the village your ride to Kingston won't be too long, maybe 10-15 minutes depending on what part of Kingston you are going to. Good luck with everything.

You guys are making me home sick!
Moved from Ohio in 68 to Saugerties and met my wife at SHS. Been together since 10th grade. Raised a family in CA since 1979 and really would like to come back. Used to be doctor Wanger and Park (9w) but I think there gone, or no longer in practice. |

Pine Street Pediatrics, Kingston, NY. ~20 mins from the Village. Dr. Danielle Cigliano. Fresh. Listens. A gem. Definitely worth the trip down.
