Default Up state areas that get a lot of snow...
Im looking to move to a snowy town/village within commuting distance to burlington VT or Platssburg that gets a lot of snow (at least 100 plus inches). My girlfriend and I are looking for a cool town with fun things to do but gets dumped on with snow. Were looking into renting a little cabin or something for the first year and then go from there... is that too much to ask?

Maybe and this is a stretch of a maybe, Lake Placid. Wilimington and Jay are possibilities. Pretty much anywhere in the Adirondack region.

I think you're thinking of Northern New York (not "upstate"), and Lake Placid would probably be ideal. HTH.
